Journal of Biological Chemistry

The Journal of Biological Chemistry published, "Bicarbonate is essential for protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) oxidation and cellular signaling through EGF-triggered phosphorylation cascades," collaborative research by Associate Professor of Nanobioscience and Director of the Redox Biology and Signal Transduction Laboratory, Dr. Ben Boivin, in collaboration with researchers from the Division of Biochemistry, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden; and the Centre for Free Radical Research, Department of Pathology and Biomedical Science, at the University of Otago, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
