Congratulations on your acceptance!
Use this page as a checklist to guide you through your next steps as an accepted student. An Enrollment Guide will be mailed to all deposited students beginning December 1 (spring semester accepted students) and May 1 (fall semester accepted students).
1. Reserve Your Place by Paying the Enrollment Deposit
Refer to your acceptance letter for your enrollment confirmation deadline and deposit amount. Make sure that your deposit is paid by the deadline listed in your letter.

- Create an account
- Click on “Make a Payment”
- Select “Admissions Tuition Deposit - Undergraduate” and enter the amount indicated on your acceptance letter
2. Submit the Undergraduate Enrollment Confirmation Form
After paying your tuition deposit, submit the online Undergraduate Enrollment Confirmation form
3. Apply for Financial Aid
Submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. SUNY Poly’s federal code is: 011678, NYS TAP code is 4975. (To be considered for scholarship, you must submit a FAFSA.)
4. Register for Accepted Student Day
Join us and other accepted students for Accepted Student Day. Offered at both the Albany and Utica Campus, we encourage you to attend both! Whether you have already decided that SUNY Poly is the right fit for you, or you are still considering your college choice, there’s plenty to experience at Accepted Student Day.

5. Connect with Us
Read your monthly e-news from the Admissions Office. This is a great way to connect with our community of current students, faculty, and staff before the May 1st deposit deadline.
Opt-in to texting to receive text messages regarding event updates, confirmations, and important deadline reminders, text 315-766-2557 to opt-in.

Final Steps to Becoming a SUNY Poly Student
Beginning May 1, if you have paid your deposit, you will receive an email instructing you to login to the Enrollment Portal. The portal will include how to:
- Activate your Student ID
- Access your SUNY Poly Email
- Register for Orientation
- Submit Health Requirements
- Submit all official transcripts
- Submit Residency Application
- Confirm & Pay Your Bill
