A limited number of SUNY Graduate Diversity Fellowships are awarded each year to full-time graduate students who qualify with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award may include a partial to full-tuition waiver and a cash stipend for the academic year.
Applicants must be US citizens or have permanent resident status and be qualified for admission.
Interested Students must use the online SUNY Graduate Diversity Fellowship Application to provide a written narrative describing how they will contribute to the diversity of the student body in the academic program for which they are applying. The narrative should describe any disadvantages or obstacles that were overcome to be successful in the pursuit of higher education.
July 1 for fall consideration
December 1 for spring consideration.
The number of awards each year is subject to the availability of funds from the state.
